   In reaction to our “Inspiration Near at Hand” call for paintings designed in artists’ gardens or other own areas, we been given these 5 photos from artist, George Van Hook. While inspiration can be located much and large, many of us have uncovered “diamonds in own backyard”, specially all over the confinement of the pandemic. There can be wonderful innovative advantages to painting a more intimate and personalized environment throughout the improvements of light-weight and season.

   George wrote to us, “I ordinarily devote a very good portion of the summertime months portray the figure in the numerous gorgeous flower gardens that encircle our property in Upstate New York. We have lived listed here for nearly 30 5 yrs, and from the pretty commencing it was our intention to make the bordering landscape a haven  for portray. That, coupled with the delightful existence of our own 3 daughters, and with their numerous pals, intended that I would in no way absence for topics or styles!

   I have thoroughly relished the decades of operate, and, on the lookout back again around the numerous paintings that I have performed below, it’s a joy to notice the growth of equally the gardens, and the wonderful relatives and close friends that have offered me so lots of several hours of inspiration.”
